Cameron graduated summa cum laude from Tarleton State University, a part of the Texas A&M University system with his Bachelor of Business Administration – Accounting. His core focus involves the firms’ growth and sustainability both internally with finding and retaining great staff and externally with onboarding new business and managing client relationships. We have some clients that have been with the firm spanning decades. HLA has a staff of approximately 20 team members, and almost half of those are experienced CPAs.
Ross Langley, CPA, PFS, CFP
Shareholder
Ross is a Shareholder with Hooper, Langley and Associates, P.C., providing accounting, practice management services, and financial planning for healthcare professionals and related firms. Ross earned his Bachelor of Business Administration – Accounting and a Masters degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. He was awarded the ACCREDITED INVESTMENT FIDUCIARY ANALYST™ designation by the University of Pittsburgh-affiliated Center for Fiduciary Studies and he is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He is a also a member of the AICPA and MGMA.
E. William Langley, CPA,PFS,CFP
Of Counsel
Bill Langley is Of Counsel at Hooper, Langley & Associates, P.C., bringing 40+ years of experience in accounting and financial planning. He holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Hawaii and an MBA from the University of Houston. A Texas CPA, Bill also earned the CFP® designation in 1992 and holds the PFS credential from the AICPA. He provides strategic guidance on complex financial matters and is a member of the AICPA, TXCPA, and the International Board of Standards for Certified Financial Planners.
Russell Webb, CPA
Russell Webb, CPA, is a Senior Tax Manager at Hooper, Langley & Associates, P.C., with nearly two decades of experience in public accounting. He earned his BBA in Accounting from Texas State University in San Marcos. Russell’s deep tax knowledge and strategic insight help deliver effective, compliant solutions. His dedication and expertise make him a trusted advisor to clients and a valued leader within the firm.
James E. O'Grady, CPA
James E. O'Grady, CPA, has been with the firm since 1996. He earned a BBS in Accounting from the University of Houston, Clear Lake, in 1985. With decades of experience, James is pivotal to our tax department, offering expertise in tax compliance, personal and corporate tax preparation, and trust tax planning. His extensive knowledge, insights, and leadership play a crucial role in delivering exceptional tax strategies for our clients. James is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Christine T. Magelky, CPA
Christi Magelky, CPA, joined our firm in 2014 after 14 years in public accounting with a CPA firm in Huntsville, Texas. She earned her BBA in Accounting from Sam Houston State University in 2001. Christine specializes in all areas of taxation and leads the firm’s accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll services. With over 20 years of experience, she is dedicated to providing exceptional client service, ensuring compliance, and helping clients navigate complex financial matters.
Sheri Vanderpool
Sheri Vanderpool earned her Master of Accounting (MAcc) from Tarleton State University in 2018 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 2021. With over 20 years of professional experience, including 14 years as a controller and nearly a decade in public accounting, she provides tax preparation and client controller services, helping clients maintain accurate financial records and make informed decisions. Known for her collaborative approach and strong work ethic, Sheri is a valued team member who supports clients and colleagues with dependable, team-focused service.
Nancy R. O'Grady, CPA
Nancy R. O'Grady, CPA, has been with the firm since 1993 after earning her BBA in Accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University. With over 3 decades of experience in tax and accounting, she excels at helping new practitioners build strong accounting systems and controls. Nancy plays a key role in training and mentoring junior staff, sharing her expertise to support their growth. She is a member of the AICPA and the Texas Society of CPAs.

Richard Tran is a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting. With seven years of experience in public accounting, Richard focuses on tax preparation for individuals and businesses, providing clients with accurate and dependable service. A CPA candidate, he is known for his collaborative approach, strong work ethic, and willingness to help wherever needed, making him a valued resource for clients and colleagues alike.
Autry Johnson
Autry Johnson joined the HLA team in 2025 after graduating from Tarleton State University in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. A CPA candidate, he has focused on helping individuals and businesses navigate tax preparation with accuracy and care. Autry works closely with clients to ensure their financial information is organized, compliant, and clearly understood, while providing accounting support that helps clients make informed decisions. Blaize Hooper is an Administrative Director and a graduate of Tarleton State University. With over a decade of administrative experience, she plays a key role in supporting the firm’s daily operations through the development and management of internal processes and procedures. She also assists with human resources functions, helping ensure we can provide great benefits for our team. Administrator
A Tarleton State University alumna, she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business and Office Administration. She brings more than 20 years of administrative and operational experience, including two decades as an office manager in a clinical setting. Over the past three years, she has applied her organizational skills and client-focused approach within public accounting, supporting daily operations and promoting efficiency. Her attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to service make her a valued member of the firm and a trusted resource for clients and staff.
